Stoke City vs Everton: Date, Time, Live online, TV Info and Preview

By Staff Writer

Manager Mark Hughes said he will not contest FA improper conduct charge after Boxing Day fury, the Daily Mail reports.

"I got pulled up on the fact I kicked a ball onto the pitch. That's a fact, so there's no way around it. I can't really defend that, that's what I did. If that's what the issue is, I'm going to have to hold my hands up," he said, according to the site.

"Everybody has their own opinions but you just want performance levels to be at a good level. We're all judged on our performances - managers, coaches, players, and referees are judged as well. We just want good performances from everybody involved in the game."

Everton, coming out of a 2-1 win over Southampton, is expected to be the favorite in the match.
Everton Manager Roberto Martínez said he is convinced the club's strong financial position means they can resist bids for midfielder Ross Barkley in January, BBC Sports reports.

"He has a long-term contract and the first half of the season has been a real joy to see him grow and the second half of the season will be even better," he said, according to the site.

"We are in a strong position financially. When you have to bring in money then it can be a real difficult position as you can be anxious and frustrated."
