Capital One Cup: Preview and TV Channel

After a couple of horrendous outings, van Gaal’s side is likely to see their first win of the season tonight as they play League One, third tier football league, team MK Dons at the Stadium MK

Man Utd opened the season with a shock defeat against visiting Swansea team while last weekend they drew Sunderland in an away fixture after taking the lead, though being outperformed by the home team. The pressure is already there on van Gaal to perform, though it is generally agreed among fans that he should be given time to rebuild.

What worries Red Devils fan is that the issue of Marcos Rojo’s work permit does not seem to get resolved and he would not be seen in the match tonight. Chris Smalling had suffered groin injury during Sunderland game, which would keep him out of the MK Dons game. Herrera continues to remain sidelined due to his ankle injury.

Milton Keyes Dons vs Manchester United Capital One cup match will be telecast live on TV channel Ten HD in India, kick off at 12:30 AM IST. Viewers in UK can watch the broadcast on Sky Sports 1/HD at 8 PM BST.

The Premier League champions kick off their campaign with a tricky visit to Newcastle, and will travel with a few minor injury problems.

Alvero Negredo has been ruled out, meaning Sergio Aguero could feature despite his own lack of match fitness.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini must also choose whether to field Joe Hart or summer signing Willy Caballero in goal.

Newcastle also have depleted numbers to choose from as Siem de Jong is out with a foot problem, while Cheick Tiote, Davide Santon and Papiss Cisse are also sidelined.

However, several new summer signings are in line to appear, with Daryl Janmaat, Remy Cabella, Emmanuel Riviere and Jack Colback all set to make debuts.

Man Utd vs Swansea city: English Premier League

The English Premier League season kicks off at 7:45 a.m. ET/12:45 p.m. BST at Old Trafford, as Manchester United hosts Swansea City.

United will look to erase every lasting artifact of the David Moyes era with Louis van Gaal now in charge of the squad, but the Dutchman will face some complications in his first league match.

Heading into the match, Van Gaal is facing an injury crisis at center-back with just two healthy players at the position, per Daniel Taylor of The Guardian.

Luckily for Van Gaal, his side is only facing Swansea City, who finished in 12th place last season.

The Swans have a small chance of pulling off an opening-day upset at Old Trafford, just like Aston Villa did at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal last season, but that is unlikely given Van Gaal's will to win in his United league debut.

Will United survive the injury crisis to hand Van Gaal a victory?
